It is with a heavy heart that we announce the cancellation of our September 13th through the 21st mission trip to New Orleans The first leg of GITC's 12 over 12 has been cancelled.
We are working hard to continue to build teams to travel to the Gulf Coast but do to the economic times we are in, being three years from Katrina or just lack of interest in the mission field we are finding it difficult to build the twelve teams we had hoped for.
In moments like these it could be very easy to be discouraged, WE ARE NOT, we are encouraged because that menas we have to evole, adapt and be flexible. All things missionaries are supposed to be. We are encouraged by the initial request for information on the idea and pray that in some way making the "noise" as it has been put, has helped someone find there way into the mission field.
We are in no way giving up on the idea, slowing down in our efforts or not going to follw through. Gulf Coast we are on our way, just a little delayed!!!!!!!!!
Christ has called and in the times we are in it may seem difficult to consider spending money, traveling such a distance or leaving someplace we may not be able to see that we can leave behind for a week, but if we are in prayer and trust in the directions we receive from Christ, our faith will see us through.
