In this world there are those who do not know the truth. What are we called to do? Are we to let them control our walk with their evil mindedness? Or are we to sit and watch as they reach into our lives to try and unleash the evil this world posssesses?
My thoughts on this go like this:
Never are we to let go of what we know, how we act or should we ever think we are alone when these peeple attempt to intrude. The enemy will attack on all levels and when he is defeated on one he will try again on another.
Evil can and does fight for control in our lives but it can only gain a foothold if we take our eyes from the truth. Satan cannot live in a heart owned by Christ!!!!!!!
We should take every opportunity to show the Love that Christ has given us. Never to shy away from the onslaught of the evil one, he will not, can not and does not win. We already know the end to this story. Christ has already defeated satan.
Christ took the stand so we can choose to live. I choose to follow His lead.
I will not allow those that do not know who Christ is to have control in my life any longer. They cannot understand the Truth because they choose not to see the Truth. The world can have them and I will pray for them as they try to walk away, that they will see Christ before it is to late.
Do not pray to the idols, do not pray to the world, do not pray to any one other than God and do so through the name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The Spirit will fill you and evil cannot enter in. You are protected by Christ Blood.
It will not always be easy, this I live, but it is worth every challenge I face and every failure I make.
I will contiunue to set my eyes on the prze and continue to train and run until I recieve the Crown.[/img] _________________ Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. Do not put out the Spirit's fire; |

Matthew 5:38-48 can answer all that
"If someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles." --> Could this be where 'going the extra mile' comes from? I find this very difficult to actually do. If someone wants me to do something for them that I really dont want to do, it is Very difficult to not only do what they asked but to then do something extra? We are called to go over and above what is asked of us from someone who may not know the truth. Is Christ's intention when asking this of us only giving us the opportunity to be a witness, or is it providing us a way to serve those who want to do us harm, or both? And what happens if we dont do it out of love and we grumble through the whole 'extra mile'? |
